CE marking machines according to the Machinery directive makes it demonstrable that a machine or installation is safe for use. Any producer or supplier who markets or puts into service a machine or installation within the EU is responsible for complying with the Machinery directive and other relevant product directives, thus regulating liability and avoid a legal offense.
Also, if a production line is build with several separate machines, the owner is responsible for complying with the right requirements. In the case of combined machines with an individual CE mark, the entire production line is not automatically CE certified. Some examples are:
- Supply device coupled with a packing machine
- Strip Steel Decoiler with Punch press or Walsinstallatie
- Oven with slitting machine
- Papieraanvoerapparaat at a printing press
I can advise and support you in the CE marking of both new machines, coupled installations and in machines that you or myself have adapted, even if they have already been put into service.
